Friends: We sometimes take the Hiwassee River for granted, but it, and it's tributaries, are important to our region, and the state of Tennessee. Regardless of how other industries treat the river, we must not allow massive industry to set up along the river, destroy "blue line" streams, dry up our wells, and discharge their waste-water into the Oostanaula and Hiwassee Rivers.
